DI Febrile Rash Illness Viruses Multiplex (DIRASH)
The DI Febrile Rash Illness Viruses Multiplex (DIRASH) kit is an in vitro diagnostic medical device intended for the qualitative differential detection of viral DNA responsible for infections with cutaneous-mucosal tropism in human patients presenting with compatible clinical signs, regardless of age or associated conditions.
This device is based on real-time PCR technology combined with high-resolution melting curve analysis (HRM). It allows the simultaneous detection, in a single well, of mpox virus DNA, Herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1), Herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV-2), and Varicella-zoster virus (VZV), as well as the GAPDH gene, used as an endogenous internal control to validate sample quality and the efficiency of extraction and amplification processes.
The device is designed for use with oropharyngeal, cutaneo-mucosal, or serum samples, collected by a qualified healthcare professional. Prior nucleic acid (NA) extraction must be performed using validated methods before PCR amplification.
